Founder Profile

David Murray-Hundley

Founder, Space Tech Ventures
CEO & Co-Founder, Pario Ventures

David Murray-Hundley is the Founder of Space Tech Ventures, the principal-led investment firm and accelerator backing early-stage space technology companies from pre-seed through Series A.

Role

Founder, Space Tech Ventures

As Founder, David sets the investment thesis, leads diligence and works directly with founders. Space Tech Ventures is principal-led: the person writing the cheque is the person in the room. That covers launch, orbit, satellites, space-derived data and the applied AI layer built on top of that infrastructure.

He also runs the firm’s 12-week accelerator, working hands-on with early teams on positioning, commercial traction and fundraising readiness. More on the thesis is on the About Space Tech Ventures page, and on the Investment page.

Background

Thirty years of building and backing companies

David has spent more than three decades as an operator and investor across Europe and the United States. He was part of Commerce One, which listed on NASDAQ in 1999, and has since been involved with more than 100 portfolio companies as investor, chairman and non-executive director.

He is CEO and Co-Founder of Pario Ventures, the operator-led venture platform that Space Tech Ventures sits within, and is the author of The Startup Rules. He mentors through Google for Startups and splits his time between London and Monaco.
